I'm Artis Jackson — an artist who codes, a technologist who studies the brain, and a builder chasing a physics PhD. I work at the seams between disciplines, where the most interesting problems live.
The Artist
I meet every situation like a blank canvas — never linear, never binary, but composed. Music, painting, drawing, 3D modeling, and color give me the vocabulary; formal training only sharpens it into intent.
The Technologist
A tinkerer at the core — software, cyber, robotics, cloud automation, and AI. I take things apart to understand them, then rebuild systems that scale and stay standing.

The brain was the original computer — and the comparison was always too generous to the computer. Perception, memory, hearing, vision: each a moving part of a staggeringly complex organism, and the system I most want to understand.
The Physicist (in progress)
The next frontier. A PhD in physics — because to redesign systems, you eventually have to understand the rules underneath them. This chapter is being written.

I never picked a lane — and at this point I've stopped apologizing for it. I'm an artist who codes, a technologist who studies the brain, and a builder who's about to go chase a physics PhD. To most people those look like four different people. To me they've always been one question wearing four outfits.
I started in networks and cybersecurity — learning how information moves and how it breaks. That pulled me into cloud architecture, where the job is building systems that stay standing when everything is trying to knock them down. Then I went and got a master's in applied cognition and neuroscience, and realized I'd been studying the same thing the whole time: how a complex system takes in the world, decides, remembers, and holds together.
The art was never separate from any of it. Music, drawing, 3D, color — that's not a hobby I do after work. It's how I think a problem through before I ever open an editor. The composition comes first; the code is just one way to render it.
Now I build Cosmic Crate as CTO, run a fleet of AI systems on my own hardware, and I'm pointing all of it at physics — because under the network stack and the neural stack there's a physical one, and I want to understand the rules it actually runs on.
